This chandelier is all about proportion. Start by planning (1) ceiling height, (2) the lowest point, then (3) diameter vs. floor footprint.

1) Pick the right size based on ceiling height (practical ranges)

Use these as planning baselines for most U.S. homes and commercial installs:

• Size 1 (78.74 in tall): Best for ceilings around 12 to 16 ft, or two-story spaces where you want a dramatic drop without taking over the full void.
• Size 2 (118.11 in tall): Best for ceilings around 16 to 22 ft, including many two-story foyers and lobby-style living rooms.
• Size 3 (157.48 in tall): Best for 22 ft plus ceilings, tall stair voids, and grand foyers where the chandelier needs a long vertical run.

If your ceiling height is close to the fixture height, choose the next smaller size or request a customized drop so the chandelier does not sit too low.

2) Set the lowest point first (this prevents “too low” installs)

• Two-story foyer / entry: A common planning target is to keep the lowest crystal point about 9 to 12 ft above the finished floor, adjusting for sightlines from the second level.
• Staircase / stairwell: Maintain at least 7 ft clearance above any walking line, including step edges and landings. In tall voids, a longer drop looks best when the cluster remains clear of head paths.
• Living room: Keep the lowest point at 7 ft plus if the chandelier is near traffic routes, or higher if it hangs over open circulation zones.
• Hotel lobby / commercial: Plan around 10 to 14 ft minimum clearance in public walk areas, depending on local requirements and layout.

3) Match diameter to the “visual footprint”

Diameter controls how the piece reads from below:

• 27.56 in: Works well when you want a strong vertical drop without widening the ceiling footprint too much.
• 31.50 in: A balanced middle size for many two-story foyers and large living rooms.
• 39.37 in: Best when the ceiling plane feels wide and the chandelier needs more presence from the ground floor.

A simple checkpoint: in a two-story foyer, the chandelier should feel centered and substantial, but it should not visually “touch” nearby walls, balcony rails, or tall windows.

4) Wiring and support planning (important for oversize fixtures)

• Confirm your junction box and framing support are rated for chandelier loads. For heavy fixtures, an electrician will typically secure mounting to framing or a reinforced support bracket.
• If you need a longer drop than the included adjustable length, request a custom wire length before production so the canopy-to-chandelier distance is correct.

Room Placement Ideas

• Two-story foyer: Center on the entry axis. Size 2 fits many grand foyers; Size 3 is for very tall voids and long sightlines.
• Stairwell: Place the canopy over the open void, not directly over stair treads. Keep the chandelier clear of the walking line and let the vertical tiers fill the open volume.
• High ceiling living room: Use it above a central seating zone if the room is open-plan, or align it with the room’s main architectural centerline.
• Hotel lobby: Install where guests approach from a distance so the tiered silhouette reads as a focal element from multiple angles.
